We came up with the idea of having a student council like thing for the Maldivians studying in Mercury and wanted to give the name as Mercury Maldivians. Our vision is to bring about a friendly environment for the Maldivians studying at Mercury Institute of Management and our mission is to make the focal point for the Maldivians studying in Mercury Institute of Management in student related activities.
We had our inauguration meeting on 9th of August 2009 at Mercury Institute of management. 21 students attended and we elected members for the committee. I am happy that all the students who were elected as the members of the committee is very enthusiastic and capable and are taking their responsibilities well. I wish all the best for the committee.
We created a group in face book which we are trying to make as the hub of our communication. Most of the members have joined the group. We hope to get the full support from all the members. Insha Allah we would be able to reach our goal through the council.
Our first even of " MAAHEFUN" is going to be held in 20th August2009 from 7:30pm to 10:30pm in one of our members house.This would be a great chance for all of us to come to gather and get know each other. We hope that all Mercury Maldivians would attend it and make this event a successful one.
